Regulations Governing the 5-Year Integrated L.L.B. Course

1. Eligibility:

  • Candidates must have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
  • Minimum aggregate marks as prescribed by the university (usually 45%-50%).

2. Duration:

  • The course shall be of five academic years, divided into ten semesters.
  • Each semester will comprise core, elective, and practical courses.

3. Curriculum:

  • Designed to provide comprehensive knowledge in law along with social sciences and humanities.
  • Subjects include Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Civil Law, Corporate Law, Environmental Law, Human Rights, Political Science, Sociology, and Economics.
  • Practical training through moot courts, internships, legal aid activities, and workshops is mandatory.

4. Attendance:

  • Minimum 75% attendance is required in each semester to be eligible for examinations.

5. Examinations and Evaluation:

  • Internal and external assessments for each semester.
  • Evaluation includes written exams, assignments, case studies, practical exercises, and participation.
  • Minimum 50% marks required to pass each subject.

6. Internship:

  • Mandatory internships during the course at courts, law firms, NGOs, or corporate legal departments.

7. Code of Conduct:

  • Students must maintain discipline, ethics, and professional conduct.
  • Violations may result in disciplinary actions.

8. Award of Degree:

  • Students successfully completing academic and practical requirements will be awarded the 5-Year Integrated LL.B. degree.

9. Amendments:

  • The college may modify regulations, syllabus, or course structure in line with university and Bar Council of India guidelines.

10. Grievance Redressal:

  • A mechanism for addressing academic and administrative grievances will be in place.
